It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Ponder (Atwood, Illinois), born in Newman, Illinois, who passed away on February 1, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Ponder and Edith Foltz Ponder; and his sister Sandy. He is survived by: his son Roger W. Ponder; his wife Heidi of Monticello; his daughter Tina Lidy (Donald) of Effingham; his grandchildren, Courtney Locker (Brandon), Cody Ponder, Christopher West and Brandon West; and his brothers, Robert, Steve and Hugh Ponder.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the James Reeder American Legion Post #770 Atwood, IL or A-H Christmas Needy Fund/Food Pantry.
