He was predeceased by: his parent Berl; his former wife Kathy Copenbarger; his siblings, Larry Bonham and Janet Bonham; and his brothers-in-law, LeRoy Powell and RoyDon Stant.

He is survived by: his wife Susan Collins (Benner) of Atwood, IL; his sons, Patrick James Bonham (Donna) of Atwood, IL and Jonathan Wayne Bonham of Champaign, IL; his grandchildren, Christopher, Cherish, Chantell and Cameron; his stepchildren, Trina Rogers (Will) of Temple, TX and Travis Helmka of Bryan, TX; his stepgranddaughter Sarah; his sisters, Betty Powell of Palestine, IL and LaDonna Stant of Annapolis, IL; and his sister-in-law Mary Jo Bonham of Palestine, IL.. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
