It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Phillip Benner (Atwood, Illinois), born in Tuscola, Illinois, who passed away on July 24, 2019, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Benner and Leona Benner (Garrett); and his brother Kim Benner. He is survived by: his siblings, Linda Hula of Elberta, Ala and Roger Benner of Atwood Illinois; his children, Nicholas S. Benner of Summerdale, Ala, Michael R. Benner of Arvada, Stephanie Finnegan (Neil) of Boston, MA, Tiffany Riddle of Phoenix, AZ and P. J. Richardson (Kate) of Savoy, Illinois; and his aunts, Peggy Gregory and Ruth Benner of Tuscola, IL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
