It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Robert Smeathers of Atwood, Illinois, born in Maceo, Kentucky, who passed away on February 7, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Moorman Smeathers and Betty Smeathers (Reel); and his siblings, Larry Brooks, Wanda Doty, Ruby King and Shirley Smiley.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Lindstrom; his children, Tony Smeathers (Tonya), Karen Conner (Tim) and Kristyn Smeathers (Derek Leatherwood); his grandchildren, Waylon, Kasen Smeathers, Brittany Harshbarger, Nick, Regan Stoltey, Wyatt, Amelia Shonkwiler, Elliott Norfleet, Zane Manship and Macen Sisk; and his sisters, Yvonne Manus, Linda Smith, Judy Hutchens and Teresa Wolf. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
