She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard McGregor and Melba McGregor; her husband James F. Amberg; her son Gregg; and her siblings, Dickie and Charlotte.
She is survived by: her children, April Martin (Don) of Lincoln, IL, Gina Akerman of Lincoln, IL and Kevin Wilmert of Palestine, TX; her stepchildren, Jim Amberg Jr. (Rosie), Cindy Amberg-Kruse (Mike) of Springfield, IL, Bo Amberg and Rod Amberg of Lincoln, IL; and her sister Patricia Hornke (Harold) of Pekin, IL. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.
Memorial donations may be made in Shirley's name to The Humane Society of Logan County.
