Catherine Apel Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 27, 2022, at the age of 97, Catherine Apel of Atlanta, Illinois, born in Hartsburg, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Ubbenga and Rena Ubbenga (Klockenga); her husband Vernon Apel; and her brothers, Leo, George and H. Robert.

She is survived by: her children, Donna Bishop of Atlanta and Daniel Apel (Sharon) of Downers Grove; her grandchildren, Nicole Apel of Chicago, Hans Bishop (Katie) of Atlanta and Kristin Bishop (Jon Persangi) of Chicago; and her great grandchildren, Arianna, Oliver, Charlotte and Anthony.

Memorials may be made in Catherine's name to Zion Lutheran Church or School.
