She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Wager and Helen Wager (Strom); her husband Oscar Boelens; her sisters, Norma Jean Hardy and Mary Ann Zapisek; and her brother-in-law Robert Hardy.
She is survived by: her brothers, Ken Boelens (Diane) of Geneseo and Mike Boelens of Atkinson; and her grandsons, Larry Wager, James and Walter. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in her name to Atkinson Fire and Rescue.
