He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Martens and Germaine Martens (Bulens); and his wife Mary Jacobsen. He is survived by: his children, Julie VanOverberg (John) of Colona and Dan Martens (Pamela) of Geneseo; his siblings, Suzanne Floming-Deskin of Atkinson, Ruth DeDecker (Leon) of Annawan and Kenneth Martens (Judy) of Ann Arbor, MI; his grandson Matt Martens; and his great grandchildren, Ashton and Maddox Martens.
