She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence DeReu and Mary DeReu (Doubler); her husband Albert Boelens; and her siblings, Elden, Phyllis and Janet.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Boelens, Mark Boelens (Lois), Patrick Boelens (Christine), Tina Murphy of Naples, FL and Roxanne Ryan of Greensboro, GA.; and her grandchildren, Troy Boelens (Micki), Dustin Boelens (Lori), Matthew Boelens (Megan), Curtis Boelens (Amber), Lindy Carlisle (Jake), Brandan Boelens (Kristen), Christopher Ryan, Thomas Ryan and Sean Murphy. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 4:30 PM at the Vandemore Funeral Home - Atkinson (214 S State St, Atkinson, IL 61235). Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (204 W Main St, Atkinson, IL 61235).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Mary Jane Boelens Memorial Fund.
