It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Coughran of Atkinson, Illinois, born in Geneseo, Illinois, who passed away on July 30, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Elsie Valerie DeGeeter; her former husband William C. Worden; and her parent William. She is survived by: her husband Charles D. Coughran; her son Andy Mapes (Sharon) of Cambridge; her grandsons, Blade Mapes of Davenport, IA and Jacob Mapes of Colona, IL; and her siblings, Dennis Diericx (Carol) of Geneseo, Audrey Gentry (Jim) of Atkinson, Aric Diericx (Liz) of Mt. Jacob and Randy Diericx (Rox) of Atkinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the Joan Coughran Memorial Fund.
