He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Julia; and his siblings, Bill Hamer, Walt Hamer, Roy Hamer, Wilma Seyller and Janet Gustafson.
He is survived by: his spouse Edley A. Taber; his children, Jim Hamer (Lori), Jon Hamer (Renee), Janis Smith (Lloyd) and Juli Hamer; his grandchildren, Holly VanOpdorp (Scott), Kate Wyffels (Brock), Nick Hamer, Leslie Judd (Kris), Eric Hamer (Amber), Austin Hamer, Preston Cartwright and Jessie Cartwright; and his great grandchildren, Carter, Lilly, Hadley and Sawyer.
