It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Herb Vandersnick of Atkinson, Illinois, born in Geneseo, Illinois, who passed away on June 27, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur "Babe" Vandersnick and Regina Vandersnick (Fehlman); and his brothers, Harold and Bud Vandersnick. He is survived by: his wife Maribeth Vandersnick; his daughters, Lisa Vandersnick of Irving and Brenda Lotridge (Troy VanOpdorp) of Atkinson; his sisters, Sandy Sturtewagen (Gary) of Geneseo and Sally DeDecker of Carbondale, IL; and his sisters-in-law, Kathy Vandersnick and Jackie Weatherby.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Atkinson Fire and Rescue or St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
