Duane F. Van Vooren Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Duane F. Van Vooren of Atkinson, Illinois, who passed away on October 12, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Vooren and Arlene Van Vooren; his wife Kathryn Van Vooren; his brother Dr. Tom Van Vooren; and his grandson Jason Burrell.
He is survived by: his children, Robin Burrell (Thomas) of Goodyear, AZ, Perry Van Vooren (Laura) of Baroda, MI and Jospeh Van Vooren (Monica) of Bettendorf, IA; his grandchildren, Vincent Van Vooren, Grace Van Vooren, Kristine Taylor and Robert Chiarelli; his great grandchild Jacob Taylor; his sisters, Bonnie Obrecht (Ron) of Geneseo and Mary Kay Franks (Jerry) of Atkinson; and his sister-in-law Beth Van Vooren of Atkinson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed, in honor of Duane, to the American Cancer Society – Russell and Ann Gerdin Hope Lodge, 750 Hawkins Drive, Iowa City, IA 52246.
