She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Martin and Iva Martin; her stepfather Al Forseth; her husband Roger Claeys; and her siblings, Oneida, Lester, Marie, Burl and Frank.

She is survived by: her children, Judy Claeys (Larry) of Atkinson, Jana Claeys (Dale) and Rozendaal of Lynnsville, IA; her grandchildren, Anita Theisen (Bill), Ashlie Lively (Mike) and Andrea Oliver (Matt); and her great grandchildren, William, Wyatt, Wesley, Walker, Owen, Jake, Luke, Kade, Claire and Leana.
