He was predeceased by: his parents, George Holevoet and Georgette Holevoet; and his siblings, Helen Foote and Paul Holevoet. He is survived by: his sister Marylou Robinson of Geneseo, IL; and his sister-in-law Kathy Holevoet of Mingo, IA. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the Center for Belgian Culture and the Atkinson Historical Society Museum.
