He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy Marie Meteer; his sisters, Donna Jean Ostermeier and Carol Ann Fabris; and his parents, Wilbur Edward Meteer and Grace Marie Meteer (Dobson).

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Wade Meteer (Holly), Addie Braungardt (Taylor), Sam Meteer (Cara), Travis Meteer (Paige), Weston Meteer (Ashley), Chance Meteer (Jenna) and Rochelle Oseland (Eric); and his brother-in-law Thomas Ostermeier (Peggy) of Athens, IL. He is also survived by his children and grand-children.
