It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew F. Winterbauer of Athens, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on November 11, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Winterbauer and Mary Brennan Winterbauer; and his brother John Winterbauer. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Marie Walker; his children, Matthew F. Winterbauer (Jody), Luke Winterbauer and Kathleen Marie Fawns (Brent); his grandchildren, Michael Winterbauer (Devan) and Madelynn Winterbauer; and his brother William Winterbauer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
