With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janet L. McCoy of Athens, Illinois, born in Carlinville, Illinois, who passed away on July 12, 2022 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Smith and Helen Smith (Fritz); and her sister Margaret. She is survived by: her husband Terry McCoy of Athens; her children, Tim and Teresa McCoy; her grandchildren, Kendra Ayers (Donnie), Kandice Pryor and Mike McCoy; her great grandchildren, Paxton Ayers, Will Pryor, Jude Pryor, Jace Pryor and Jade Pryor; and her sister Judy Friedrich of Havana.

Memorial donations may be made in Janet's name to Radiant Church in Springfield.
