James Lewis Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 9, 2025, at the age of 85, James Lewis of Athens, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother-in-law Doris Jean Anders; his wife Jean; his parents, James S. Lewis and Helen M. Lewis (McDonald); his brothers, Thomas Lewis and Harold Lewis; and his brother-in-law Jim McDonough.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Richardson (John), James M. Lewis (Robin) of Auburn, IL, Richard Lewis (Rita) of Dixon, MO, Kim Richardson (Tim) of Moweaqua, IL and Robert Lewis (Dawn) of Springfield, IL; his grandchildren, John (Lynn), Jenn (Frank), Rick (Lisa), Ashley (Andrew), Jessica (Chris), Allison, Stephanie, Kaitlin, Jordyn (Shelby), Morgan (Clayton), Marissa (Drew) and Justin; and his sisters, Shirley McDonough and JoAnn Peel (Steve). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
