He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Banister and Artie Banister (Conn); and his granddaughter Summer. He is survived by: his wife Alice Ussery; his children, David Banister (Shelia Soul) of Connecticut, Darwin Banister (Angela) of Michigan, Shawn Banister (Kelly) of Michigan and Helen Rector (Brian) of Illinois; his brother Ronald Banister; his sister-in-law Mable Banister; his grandchildren, David, Danny, Jessica, Michael, Joshua and Cooper; and his friend Floyd Walker (Linda). He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
