With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carl Wayne Marion of Athens, Illinois, who passed away on February 3, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Carl Wayne may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Carl Wayne touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Marion and Nellie Nottingham Marion; and his brother Calrence. He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Holman and Janet Traitor; and his spouse Junia Mae Kent. He is also survived by grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the Buffalo Christian Church.
