We bid farewell to John David Scheffel of Assumption, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 22, 2025 at the age of 75. John David touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his father George; his daughter Christine Sides; and his sister Janet Lebegue. He is survived by: his spouse Kaye Marlene Anderson; his children, Mike Scheffel of Dixon, Jim Scheffel of Collinsville and Jamie Allison (Jay) of Decatur; his grandchildren, Ashley Creamer (Alex) of Moweaqua, Bailey Collins (Trent) of Bethany and Lilliana Anderson of Louisville; his great grandchildren, Waylon, Wren and Charlee; and his siblings, Donald Scheffel (Judy) of Jerseyville and Elaine Turner (Gary) of Medora. He is also survived by his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home - Carrollton (108 N 5th St, Carrollton, IL 62016). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
