It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert P. Wetzel of Ashton, Illinois, who passed away on April 28, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Wetzel and Edna Wetzel; his wife Mary; and his siblings, Wayne, Donald, Rae and Joanne Menz.
He is survived by: his sons, Ronald Wetzel (Jenell) of Arlington Heights, Gary (Lori) of Franklin Grove and Douglas J. Wetzel (Richard Devine) of Beloit, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Aaron Wetzel (Siera), Addison Hopkins (Dylan), Elizabeth, Emily and Eric Wetzel; his great grandchild Parker; his sister Betty Davis of Rockford; his niece Deb Kehm of Dixon; and his brother-in-law Wayne Hussey.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Franklin Grove, Illinois or Serenity Hospice and Home, Oregon, Illinois.
