He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Checkley and Madonna Checkley (Masterson); his son Joseph Checkley; and his brother Larry Checkley. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jane Ellison; his daughters, Bonny Stark (Steve) of Ashmore, IL and Pam Checkley of Mattoon, IL; his granddaughters, Kelsey Stark (Nathan Pollard) and Ashley Stark; and his great grandchildren, Preston Pollard and Owen Pollard. He is also survived by his family.
