With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Henry T. Winkeler of Ashley, Illinois, born in Bartelso, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Winkeler and Helen Winkeler (Budde); his parents-in-law, Peter and Mary Lamczik (Kuberski); and his siblings-in-law, Loretta Restoff, Theresa Lamczik, Paul Gerdes, Alphonse Lamczik, Stanley Restoff and Bob Joyner.
He is survived by: his wife Caroline Winkeler of Ashley, IL; his sons, Dale Winkeler (Melissa) of Carlyle, IL and Duane Winkeler of Aviston, IL; his grandchildren, Emma Winkeler of Carlyle, IL, Ethan Winkeler of Columbia, MO and Cole Winkeler of Aviston, IL; his siblings, Mildred Peppenhorst (Lester) of Beaver Prairie, IL, Aggie Kampwerth (Julius) of Breese, IL, Ginny Keen (Clayton) of Kimmundy, IL, Joseph Winkeler (Marge) of Breese, IL, Vincent Winkeler (Kathy) of Bartelso, IL, Robert "Pat" Winkeler (Marilyn) of Bartelso, IL, Ted Winkeler (Judy) of New Baden, IL and Rich Winkeler (Brenda) of Bartelso, IL; his sisters-in-law, Barbara Joyner of Irondale, MO, Dolores Gerdes of Bartelso, IL and Clara Peters (Ben) of Ashley, IL; and his caregivers, Terri and Amie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the St. Michael Catholic Church (136 S 3rd St, Radom, IL 62876). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials can be made to the St. Michael Catholic Cemetery and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
