Charles P. Spotanski Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles P. Spotanski of Ashley, Illinois, who passed away on December 10, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Spotanski and Alice Spotanski (Zamenski); his siblings, Eva Spotanski and Richard Spotanski (Joan); and his brothers-in-law, Alan Norris and Steve Richardson.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Betlejewski; his children, Suzanne Spotanski of Troy, IL and Mark Spotanski (Amy) of Ashley, IL; his grandchildren, Rachel Wellen (Kyle) of McLeansboro, IL, Claudia Spotanski (Kyle Kreger) of Ashley, IL and Evan Siekmann of Troy, IL; his great grandchildren, Abigail Wellen of McLeansboro, IL, Collins Wellen of McLeansboro, IL and Joshua Wellen of McLeansboro, IL; and his siblings, Larry Spotanski (Marcella) of Du Bois, IL and Linda Norris of Waltonville, IL..

Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Charles Catholic Church (223 S 3rd St, Du Bois, IL 62831). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Friends may make memorials to St. Barbara PSR Classes, St. Charles Cemetery, or SSM Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
