It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barney Shopinski (Ashley, Illinois), born in DuBois, Illinois, who passed away on February 1, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Lorraine Ann Prange; and his siblings, Leonard Shopinski, Josephine Boelling and Anna Jean Schratz. He is survived by: his children, Pamela Minton (Terry) of Ashley, Illinois and William Shopinski (Darlene) of Sandwich, Illinois; his grandchildren, Timothy Cameron (Elissa), Tiffany Woods (Chris), Justin Shopinski, Allison Rivera (Rodel) and Brian Minton; his great grandchildren, Christopher Maddox, Kylee Cameron, Shelby Cameron, Sydney Cameron, Nevaeh Woods, Raelyn Rivera, Ryder Rivera and Saige Minton; and his brothers, Louis Shopinski, Jr. (Cynthia), Joseph Shopinski (Debbie) and David Shopinski (Marylou). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Radom, Illinois and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home at 134 South Elm Street in Centralia, Illinois.
