She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert and Catherine Jean VanDenBossche (Langenfeld). She is survived by: her husband Richard "Richie" Smock; her children, Nikki Smock of Ashland, Dan Smock (Tabitha Schaub) of Mt. Pulaski and Doug Smock (Chelsey) of Mt. Pulaski; her grandchildren, Alex Smock, Garrett Smock, Amila Schaub, Benjamin Smock, Finley McCain, Piper Smock, Nora Smock and Everett Smock; and her siblings, John R. "Bob" VanDenBossche (Paula) of Bloomington, Dorothy J. "Dot" Hart (Tom) of Springfield, Patricia A. "Pat" Fleck (John) of Chatham and Mary Kay Murphy (David) of Springfield. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home (221 W Editor St, Ashland, IL 62612). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
