He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Turner and Cora Turner (Twyford); and his siblings, Howard, William D. Turner, Mary Lena Turner and Rena Dixon.
He is survived by: his children, Nick Turner (Stacie) of Springfield and Lora Wyatt (Philip) of Lago Vista; his grandchildren, Ian of Springfield and Lauren Turner of Springfield; his stepgrandchildren, Hannah Wyatt of Boston Ma and Hollie Wyatt of Springfield; and his siblings, Charles Turner (late Linda) of Ashland, Anna Mae Gentry (late David) of Jacksonville and Thelma Waggener-Hazelwood (Clyde) of Jacksonville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
