It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Calvin Pitts of Ashkum, Illinois, born in Watonga, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 21, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nathaniel Pitts and Ethel Pitts (Hockett); his sister Ruth; his nephew Ridgely Paul; his wife Trudy Kapferer; his children, Deborah Norden (Kevin) of Kankakee, Mary Lou Streets of Kankakee, Joannah Bierzychudek (Mark) of Kalamazoo, MI and Daniel Pitts (Wendy) of Minooka; his grandchildren, Joshua Norden (Danielle), Heather Lebda (Tom), Jarrid Norden, Alyssa Lesch (Dan), Shannon Stockwill (Jake), Brandon Streets (Sydney), Mark Poole (Jamie), David Cantway (Shawna), Kara Ferguson (Bobby), Tim Gileza, Amanda Bame, Aidan Pitts, Devon Pitts, Ari Shuler and Alyssa Price; and his brothers, David Pitts (Rebecca) and Paul Pitts (Annette). He was also cherished by nineteen great grandchildren.
