He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Smith and Mary Jane Smith (Neidatcher); his sister Dianne Smith; his parents-in-law, Michael and Loretta Cassidy; and his siblings-in-law, Tommy Hewitt, Eddie, Brian Cassidy and Jo Ann Cassidy.
He is survived by: his wife Cecelia Cassidy of LaMoille; his sons, Nathan Smith (Amber Heider) of LaSalle and Toby Smith (Mirella Correa) of LaSalle; his siblings, Jo Alyce Hewitt, Tammy Manijack (Mark), Bruce Smith, Mark Smith (Julie) and Tom Smith; and his brother-in-law Mike Cassidy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
