He is survived by: his wife Judith; his children, Jill Kaplan (Jeff Axelrod), Mark Kaplan (Cheryl), Bob Kaplan (Dara Altshuler), Hannah Nast (Bennett), Charlie (Laura), Sophie Kaplan, Alex, Chase Kaplan, Julia and Ariel Axelrod; and his siblings, Mildred Rein (Irving), Alice Simes (Isaac) and Harvey Kaplan (Marge).
