He is survived by: his sons, Patrick Gierke (Donna), Christian Gierke and Justin Gierke (Janet); his grandchildren, Amanda, Londyn and Ashton; and his siblings, Mark Gierke (Debbie) and Susan Wiegrefe (Alfred).
