She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred and Elly; her daughter Linda Spiess (Siegfried Spiess); her sister Waltraud Koerner; and her siblings-in-law, Rudy, Johann, Gustave (Helga), Fritz, Wilhelm Spiess, Bruno Fiesel, Guenther Koerner and Maria Asitsch (Joseph).
She is survived by: her former husband Siegfried W. Spiess; her children, Robert Spiess, Diane Bouchee, Richard Spiess (Katherine) and Susanne Spiess; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Erica, Ellyse, Ethan Spiess, Timothy Bouchee, Evan, Connor, Noelle Spiess, Robert and Joseph Romando; and her sisters, Kathe Spiess, Ilse Fiesel and Evelinde Windel (Henning). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Gerda's name may be given to a charity of your choice.
