She was predeceased by: her spouse Shigeo Okamoto; and her parents, Kenichi Sato and Riku Sato. She is survived by: her children, Paul, Julie (Tarek Refai) and Marc Okamoto (Lee); her grandchildren, Kevin Okamoto (Allison), Katie Coenen (Tyler) and Bennie Okamoto; and her great grandchildren, Bodie and Maggie Okamoto.
