He was predeceased by: his parents, David John and Judith Ann Messerschmidt Roegge; and his father-in-law Wayne Briggs. He is survived by: his wife Jill Roegge of Arenzville; his children, Charles Roegge and Lydia Mathis (Wade); his grandsons, Noah and Andrew James Mathis; his brothers, Aaron Roegge (Nicole) of Arenzville, Philip Roegge (Sarah) of Arenzville and Michael Roegge of Nashville, TN; his mother-in-law Judy Briggs of Virginia; his aunts and uncles, Joy Schnitker, Lorraine Quigg, George Roegge (Trudy), Martha Phelps (Ken), Patricia Roegge, Alice Welsh (Pete), Lois Wahrle (Dennis), Mark Messerschmidt (Joy), Champ Messerschmidt (Dawn), Phyllis Schneider (Bob) and Phillip Messerschmidt (Rhonda); his parents-in-law, Sally Stock (Byron "Barney"), Sue Ishimori (Nozomu) and Mark Briggs (Jan); and his brother Farms. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
