He is survived by: his wife Esthela Garza of Arcola, IKL; his children, Baltazar Gauna (Hilda) of Arcola, IL, Norma Davila of Arcola, IL, Nadya Gauna of Arcola, IL, Maria Gauna of Mattoon, IL, Patricia Oatman (Thomas) of Mattoon, IL and Connie Collins of Mattoon, IL; his siblings, Oscar Gauna (Janice) of Mattoon, IL, Jose Gauna of Arcola, IL, Angel Mario Gauna of Gays, Maria Elia Dela of Arcola, IL, Aida Rosas (Martin) of Arcola, IL and Adriana Herrera (Jose) of Arcola, IL; and his half-brother Ruben Gauna (Lydia Cecilia) of Cadereyta. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
