She was predeceased by: her parents, Dean Hilligoss and Dorothy McGuire Hilligoss; her son Stephen J. Murphy; and her brother Jim Hilligoss. She is survived by: her son Mark H. Murphy (Pam) of Tuscola. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and their children.

Memorials are suggested to the Friendswood United Methodist Church, Friendswood, TX.
