He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben "Benny" George and Emily Laura Bushu (McCann); and his sister Benita Vyverberg. He is survived by: his wife Carol Bushu of Arcola, IL; his children, Kevin Bushu (Kelly) of St. Joseph, MI and Allison Phillips (Mike) of Arcola, IL; his grandsons, Joshua, Jacob, Justin, Jackson Bushu, Braden and Brody Phillips; his brother-in-law Bob Vyverberg (Mari) of Peoria, IL; and his cousin Donna Butler of Rushville, IL..
Memorials may be made to the Arcola Christian Church or the Arcola Foundation in Memory of Larry Bushu, to establish a scholarship in his honor.
