He is survived by: his children, Herminie Ruiz (Francisco Guevara) of Mexico, Avelina Ruiz (Lauro Ponce) of Mexico, Francisco Ruiz (Damaris Ortiz) of Arcola, IL, Alfonso Ruiz (Maria Guadiana Ruiz) of Arcola, IL, Miguel Ruiz (Estela Medina) of Arcola, IL, Zenaida Ruiz (Ipolito Patino) of Arcola, IL, Antonio Ruiz (Maria Covarubias) of Arcola, IL, Catalina Ruiz (Melesio Caro) of Mexico, Felipa Ruiz (Martin Corona) of Arcola, IL and Maria Ruiz (Rigoberto Leal) of Arcola, IL; and his siblings, Maria Ruiz Romero of Mexico and Lorenzo Ruiz Romero of Mexico. He is also survived by 46 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, 4 great-great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home (221 E Main St, Arcola, IL 61910). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (210 S Pine St, Arcola, IL 61910).
