With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clara Mae Rhoades (Arcola, Illinois), who passed away on May 25, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Norris and Lora Norris (Bridges); her husband Harold "Shorty" Rhoades; and her sisters, Ethel McClellan, Viola Richardson, Edith Winberg and Dorothy Bowles.
She is survived by: her children, Wanda Crouse (Dick) of Villa Grove, IL, Pat McCool (Steve) of Ridge Farm, IL, Bob Rhoades (Martha) of Hugo, IL and Dorothy Rhoades of Paris, IL; and her grandchildren, Joe Bird (Kristy) of Villa Grove, IL, Julia Smith (Josh) of Sergeant Bluff, IA, Curtis McCool (Elizabeth) of Potomac, IL, Kellie Almy (James) of Irvine, CA, Clint McCool (Mary) of Rossville, IL, Jena Arthur (Justin) of Camargo, IL and Ross Rhoades (Emma) of Tuscola, IL. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sarah Bush Hospice or Paris Healthcare Center.
