We are sad to announce that on April 18, 2020, at the age of 77, Ronald Horist (Apple River, Illinois), born in Sullivan, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Horist and Irene Horist (Storozyszyn). He is survived by: his wife Carol L. Moore; his sons, Michael Horist (Michelle) of Chicago, IL, Richard Horist of West Chicago, IL and Mark Horist (Elaine) of Chicago, IL; and his grandchildren, Samantha, Jake and Sarah.

Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will not be having a public memorial at this time.

“Very sorry to have Ron leave us. He was the only guy I knew that could manage his three young men. He was a first responder and a builder and a craftsman. He raise a beautiful family with the love of his wife. I am happy to hear his family was there to help him along on his journey to the next world. He was assured that he was loved till the end.
