He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Simi and Yolanda Simi (Stefani); and his brother-in-law Paul Olszowka. He is survived by: his wife Jane Simi; his children, Thomas Simi (Michele), Gia Simi, Lori Simi, Kenneth Barth (Catherine), Michael Simi (Tatiana) and Stephanie Thornburgh (Myles); his grandchildren, Alyssa Simi, Danielle Simi, Christopher Commiso, Maddison Simi, Brantley Barth, Barrett Barth, Colette Simi, Lennox Thornburgh, Killian Thornburgh and Aria Simi; his siblings, Sandra Olszowka and Gerald Simi (Leigh); and his brother-in-law Joe Welinske. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Strang Funeral Home of Antioch Wednesday (1055 Main St, Antioch, IL 60002). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (557 Lake St, Antioch, IL 60002). A burial was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at the Home Oaks Cemetery (39923 Deep Lake Rd, Lake Villa, IL 60046).
