He was predeceased by: his son Andrew; his parents, Joseph Kocal and Angeline Kocal; and his brothers, Ted Kocal (Jeanne), Leo Kocal and John Kocal (Fran).
He is survived by: his wife Billie; his children, Nancy DeRohan Kocal (late Richard), Diana Potkonjak (Ted) and Dan Kocal (Keith Smith); and his grandchildren, Nathan DeRohan (Kari), Emily Galvan (Steve), Sam, Andrea and Joseph Potkonjak.
