He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur and Irene; his son John Novack; and his sister Kathryn Catenacci. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Swanson; his children, Jim Novack, Jennifer Bucher (Clark) and Jeff Novack (Kim); his grandchildren, James, Nathan, Samantha, Justin, Madison, Jillian and John; his brother Michael Novack (Joan); and his brother-in-law Les Catenacci. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Open Arms Mission, P.O. Box 79, Antioch, IL 60002 or Our Lady of the Lakes-St. Peter Church are appreciated in Paul's memory.

“What a true gentleman. We spent so many years as neighbors in Antioch at our summer homes. A good friendship developed over many many years. During that time we enjoyed golfing, bowling, and all types of water sports, along with occasional dinners. Our children still enjoy deep friendships and I am sure they will continue. Paul’s unexpected passing will leave a deep hole in my heart as well as yours. May God continue to bless you and your family in this season of mourning.”
