It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael John Ruggles of Antioch, Illinois, who passed away on August 11, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Robert Ruggles. He is survived by: his mother Judith Ruggles (McNiff); his wife Deborah Adams; his children, Dennis Adams (Stacey), Bill Adams (Tracie), Kimberly Gorzelnik (Chris) and Michael Ruggles II (Trisha); his grandchildren, Tyler, Brandon Adams, William II, Blake Adams, Mikayla and Michael Ruggles III; and his siblings, Sandy Preis (Gary), Gloria Gajewski (Bill Fox), Robert Ruggles (Ruth Ann), Diane Ruggles (Steve Schaffer), Donna Shroat (Jamie), John Ruggles (Kristine) and Lorianne Dyke (John). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

“Mike was a great man. I serviced his garage doors at his business and his home. One time I was doing a service call on his door at the house, and he asked me to text him when I was 15 minutes from completion. So I did that while I filled the service invoice ticket out. All of a sudden I'm hearing a helicopter coming close. Mike drops a text to come in the backyard. Mike was piloting a black helicoptor and landed it in his back yard. I ran up to it while it was still spinning and he paid cash.”
