With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marjorie Marcysiak of Antioch, Illinois, who passed away on March 14, 2025 at the age of 98. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marjorie Marcysiak to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Lake and Nancy Lake (Biggs); her husband Sylvester; her siblings, Suzanne Sutherland (Robert) and John Lake (Christel); and her cousin Betty Eales.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Hain (Michael) and John Marcysiak; her grandchildren, Kimberly Gosdeck (Joseph), Amanda Unrau (Matthew) and Jarimiah Marcysiak; her great grandchildren, Henry, Noah Gosdeck, Charlotte and Everleigh Unrau; her nephews, Andrew Sutherland and David Lake; and her niece Helen Sheldon (Richard).
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Strang Funeral Home of Antioch (1055 Main St, Antioch, IL 60002). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery (6800 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
