He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Schelter and Ruby Schelter. He is survived by: his wife Therese Schelter; his children, Michael Schelter, Susan Zeiger and Catherine Schelter; his grandson Thomas Zeiger (Rebecca Zeiger); his great grandchild Juliet Zeiger; and his brother Kerm Schelter (Marj). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
