It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Arvidson of Antioch, Illinois, born in Evanston, Illinois, who passed away on October 4, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Arvidson. He is survived by: his mother Carol Andrews (Ronald) of Chicago, IL; his wife Mary Ellen of Wheeling, IL; his children, Kristen Arvidson of Chicago, IL, Dr. Kimberly Mazur (Nick) of Naperville, IL, John Arvidson (Libby) of Denver, CO and Kerri Arvidson (Jordan McClintock) of Naperville, IL; his granddaughters, Madelyn, Natalie and Amelia Mazur; his brothers, Joseph and James Arvidson; and his pet Odie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

“John was a great guy and the best Indian Princess Tribal Chief and Nation Chief this YMCA Program ever had. John had a gruff voice, but a heart of gold, and great sense of humor. This YMCA program stressed one-on-one bonding of father and daughter, and John was a great father to Kristen and Kimmy. John will be missed by many family members and his many friends.
