It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Freitag of Antioch, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 11, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy and Frieda; her former husband Fredrick Freitag Sr.; her husbands, John Koss Jr. and Frederick Freitag Sr.; her children, Loreen Bischoff and Frederick Freitag, Jr.; her son-in-law Jim VanHook; and her siblings, Mildred Mayer, Jim Winandy and Marilyn Leschner.
She is survived by: her children, Ken Koss (Sallie) of Antioch, IL, Karen Gillis (Paul) of Crossville, TN, Kathy VanHook of Jacksonville, FL, Teena Nelson of Kenosha, WI and Darleen Van Heirseele (Kevin) of Noblesville, IN. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Open Arms Mission or the Make A Wish Foundation are appreciated in Janet's memory.
